The Dual Screen Tablet: Toshiba Libretto W100

The Libretto is the first dual screen tablet to have been introduced to the newly disrupted (in case you were wondering, by the iPad) mobile computing space.
The top screen is a capacitive dual 7" (1024x600) touch-screen Windows 7 device, the responsiveness of which is unbelievably great for its size. The latter half of the device is what makes it so revolutionary. It enables you to use it as an extended monitor, or as a relatively independent platform for multitasking and following up on your (online) social life.

Text input options: the lower touchscreen facilitates the use of one of many pre-loaded keyboards.
The typing experience is brilliant, with the dual screen portrait being the most fascinating. Its interesting to try touch typing with a split touchscreen keyboard.

Here's a blow-up of the lower screen which is quite self-explanatory:

The prospect of watching videos on the top screen while typing out emails on the lower screen is what makes this device so exciting. Combined with capacitive multi-touch technology, great battery life and a solid build in a small package, the latest Libretto is all geared to take mobile multi-tasking to the next level.
